Where do you host the Transition?

We bring the Transition to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the exercise?

You should set aside between 1.5 and 4 days for The Transition depending on edition and configuration. This usually includes individual and small group introduction, preparatory workshops, the immersion in the exercise, as well as an extensive debrief including individual and collective feedback and performance assessment.

How many people can participate?

For the Transition to run effectively, we require between 66 and 80 participants. Smaller organizations can partner with other organizations in order to run the exercise, but we are unable to alter the size of the simulation.

How do we find out more about the Transition?

Explore the scenario, take a look within, or contact us for more information.

Who administers the exercise if I book it?

Our team of experienced trainers from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School will prepare, administer, and monitor the exercise for you. We will work with your organization's adminstrators, project managers, and event planners to ensure the program is a success.

What do I need to provide if I book the exercise for my organization?

You will need to provide an appropriate venue which includes a lecture hall or large room that fits 80 people in addition to several breakout rooms. Additional logistical requirements are available upon request. And of course, the exercise is for you, so you provide the participants. All participants have to commit to participate throughout the full duration of the exercise.

We offer three editions of the Transition, each of which is further configured based on the goals and needs of your organization. As a result, the cost of running the exercise varies along a scale that can be provided after assessing your needs.

Can I also come to Harvard to participate in the exercise?

The Transition is typically hosted on-site at your organization. We do not currently offer open enrollment for individual participants in the exercise. However, we can accommodate a limited number of requests each year from organizations who wish to bring their entire team to Harvard. Please contact us to inquire.

How much does it cost to book the exercise?
How complicated is it to host the exercise?

The exercise is complex, but our team is here to handle all of the details. We bring the Transition to you as a fully developed program, with a team in place to prepare, administer, and monitor it. We will work with you in advance and adjust the exercise to your specific needs.

What if I do not have a venue in place, but want to bring the Transition to my organization?

If you have the interest but not the location, let us know and we will assist you with the logistics.
